Directions to Hog’s Back Farm
We are located 65 miles southeast of Saint Paul in Pepin County, Wisconsin.
From the twin cities:
- Go East on 94 into Wisconsin
- Take Exit 3 heading south towards River Falls (Hwy 35), at this point you are 45 miles from the farm.
- In 9 miles you come to a stoplight where 35 changes to 65, continue straight through the light.
- Continue south on 65 for 11 miles until you come to a stoplight in the town of Ellsworth, take a left. This is Highway 10 East and 63 North.
- In 2 miles keep right where 10 and 63 split.
- Continue East on 10 for 19 miles, you will pass by the town of Plum City and climb back up the hill, at the top of the hill is the Pepin County Line. The next road on your right, one-half mile past the county line, is Big Coulee Road. Take a right.
- Continue on Big Coulee 2.5 miles down into the coulee, this is a small road with beautiful scenery, please enjoy the view, use caution, and respect our neighbors by not speeding.
- When you reach a stop sign, turn right (County D)
- Climb D up the hill, this is the ‘hogback’ for which the farm is named. Again please use caution, when you get to the very top of the hogback (and can see that no one is coming from the opposite direction) take a left on Holden Rd.
- Continue a half mile on Holden Road, when you get to the top of the hill you will see a house on your left. Our farm is immediately behind this house. Take a left onto the driveway, but stay left rather than go into the neighbor’s yard. Follow the field road around the corner, back to where our red shed is. Parking on the road is fine. Our fields go back from there, if you don’t see anyone around just start walking out to the fields.
